I woke up hungry. In fact, that is how I remembered to walk over to the scale to see if my efforts yesterday would be rewarded. The last time I used a scale 2 days in a row was when I was living in Whistler. When I saw the number I thought it must be a mistake so I reset the scale and stepped onto it again. The number looking back up at me was a respectable 260.5 lbs. 3 pounds in one day. It was a good thing, too. If I had not lost anything today would have been impossible. Even with this positive feedback I still 'cheated' a couple of times.
I swung by a coffee shop and went inside where I order my coffee with milk instead of cream. Then we visited the Pickering Flea Market where Alex convinced me that eating a deep-fried, batter coated apple was actually okay because I need fruits in my diet. So I had two. When we got home I had to make Ethan some lunch so we made "Pigs in a Blanket" which is a hotdog wrapped in a Pillsbury Croissant roll. We made 8. I stole 2. While they were cooking I ate a tbsp of peanut butter from the spoon, had 2 spoons of cottage cheese and I am sure I am forgetting something else.
I had a couple of small victories today though. We finished the first batch of soup and I immediately made another. I enjoyed 2.5 extra large coffees instead of the usual 6 or 7 and they were all made with milk and when making Kraft Dinner for Ethan tonight I stole a mouthful of that delicious pseudo-pasta but as I did not finish the rest of the pot I still consider this a victory. I also consumed 2 litres of water.
I am excited to stand on the scale again in the morning but after realizing that this is only the end of day 2 of 50 I am wondering if I can keep this up for 7 more weeks. Only time will tell.
